UV Selecting Instruction
How To Select your UV Curing System?
Contents
As a trusted UV systems manufacturer, UVLight will share the UV or LED UV selecting instruction. If you have any doubts or questions about your selection, please feel free to contact us. We will provide you with the best advice from a professional perspective.
Width of the workpiece?
The width of the workpiece affects the selection of the effective light emitting length of the UV lamp. Before selecting the UV equipment, it is necessary to first determine the width of the workpiece to be irradiated to ensure effective curing.
Flat or 3-Dimensional?
Light travels in straight lines. If the workpiece is of a three-dimensional shape, the lamp fixture must be designed with adjustable height and angle to suit the external characteristics of the workpiece, avoiding the generation of shadows that may lead to poor drying of ink or paint on the processing surface. Applications of three-dimensional irradiation.
Heat sensative or not?
The temperature tolerance of the workpiece will affect the selection of the cooling method in system design, including the use of reflectors or cooling systems.
Curing speed & lamps required?
The UV energy generated by UV lamps is fixed. After selecting the appropriate lamp specifications, the number of lamps required can be estimated based on the lamp's specifications and the production flow rate requirements (e.g., 80W/CM, 120W/CM, 160W/CM...). For example, for a certain specification of ink, after printing, with the irradiation of 120W/CM UV lamps, and a machine flow rate of 10 m/min, complete drying and curing can be achieved. However, if the production flow rate requirement is 30 m/min, then three or more sets of UV lamps would be needed. method in system design, including the use of reflectors or cooling systems.Interlock or shutter required?
Does the curing system need to be connected to the printing machine? The type of UV machine can be either conveyor type or lamp-matching type. If each segment of the process equipment is independent, then the conveyor type should be chosen. If during the process, the lamps are installed between the printing machine's color stations or within the hanging conveyor line of the spray equipment, then the UV equipment needs to be selected as lamp type.
